Spike is a minor character who appears in The Looney Tunes Show.
Biography[]
Spike's only appearance was in The Jailbird and Jailbunny, during Yosemite Sam's Merrie Melodie, entitled Blow My Stack. He is shown at the anger management classes sitting down next to Shropshire Slasher. He has gray fur and is wearing a dark red jumper and brown bowler hat.
Trivia[]
- In the original Looney Tunes, Spike is paired with his admiring companion Chester the Terrier, and the two serve as antagonists of Sylvester in the shorts Tree for Two (1952) and Dr. Jerkyl's Hide (1954), where the two tough city dogs frequently attempt to beat up Sylvester for no reason, until Spike gets attacked by ferocious feline monsters (an escaped zoo panther in Tree for Two, Sylvester as the Hyde Monster in Dr. Jerkyl's Hide).
- Hector the Bulldog, who appears in the original Tweety and Sylvester cartoons, identically resemblance to him, albeit without the red jumper and brown hat, and with a far less hostile personality. However, unlike Spike, Hector does not appear in this show in any way.
- Spike doesn't appear in any episode of the show either, aside from brief cameo in the Merrie Melodie Blow My Stack.
